萊菔硫烷（sulforaphane, SFN，SF,又名蘿卜硫素）是一種主要存在于西蘭花和其他十字花科蔬菜中的異硫氰酸鹽類物質(zhì)。20世紀(jì)50年代，西蘭花就已經(jīng)成為上備受關(guān)注的的抗 癌抗衰老的十字花科蔬菜，當(dāng)時(shí)曾被譽(yù)為“防癌新秀”。隨后，1992年被發(fā)現(xiàn)具有化學(xué)保護(hù)作用：     西蘭花中所含的萊菔硫烷（SFN）可以有效地預(yù)防肝癌、肺癌、前列腺癌、乳腺癌、直腸癌、胃癌、腺癌、皮膚癌等癌癥的發(fā)生。目前的研究發(fā)現(xiàn)，萊菔硫烷是抗氧化、防癌、抗癌活性等顯著的異硫氰酸鹽類化合物，在DNA損傷修復(fù)、抑制I相代謝酶、誘導(dǎo)II相代謝酶的表達(dá)、清除感染、抑制促進(jìn)生長(zhǎng)的信號(hào)通路、細(xì)胞周期的阻滯及誘導(dǎo)細(xì)胞凋亡等方面發(fā)揮著重的調(diào)節(jié)作用，是一種有效的保護(hù)酶誘導(dǎo)物，能夠預(yù)防和抵抗致癌化合物引起的傷害。

【產(chǎn) 品描述】R,S-Sulforaphane is a synthetic version of the naturally occurring compound, R-sulforaphane, from Broccoli. It is a racemic mixture of both the R and S isomers. At room temperature, it is a very slightly yellowish viscous liquid. Its isothiocyanate group reacts with protic solvents such as water and ethanol to form the corresponding thiocarbamates.
It reacts with the sulfhydyl group of cysteine and glutathione to form dithiocarbamates (conjugates).
Sulforaphane is a Phase II enzyme inducer present in brocolli. It was found to inhibit chemically induced mammary tumor formation in rats.
